🔥 Napier, Elim & Wolvengat Network Update – All Services Restored! 🔥

We’re happy to report that all services were restored early this morning! 🙌

There are still a few isolated network issues at certain clients, but these are unrelated to the fire damage and are being attended to by our team.

A massive thank you to our hardworking staff — replacing two large towers over the weekend in tough conditions was no small task! 💪
Interestingly, we saw some of the big-name companies on the mountain today — with more bakkies on site than we have employees — yet our small local team managed to get everything up and running first. 💙

There’s still some work left to complete over the next few weeks as we rebuild and strengthen the network infrastructure.

🔥 Napier, Elim & Wolvengat Area Network Update – Fire Damage Recovery Continues 🔥

Over the weekend, two of our major towers were completely destroyed by the fires in the region. Our technical team has been working tirelessly from sunrise to sunset under challenging conditions of smoke, dust, and extreme heat to restore connectivity.

We’ve successfully restored most services, but some technical issues remain. Our network engineers are actively working to stabilize all affected connections and ensure reliable service across the area.

There’s still a lot of work to be done on the damaged towers. Our technical staff will continue repairs throughout the week to rebuild the infrastructure and get everything back to normal.

⚠️ Wolvengat clients:
Your area remains offline due to an uplink radio model issue. Unfortunately, we’ve run out of spares — these radios are highly specialized and expensive, and we only keep limited stock. Replacement units are already on order, and our team aims to restore service by the end of tomorrow.

We understand the frustration and truly appreciate your patience and support while we recover from this disaster. Please know that we’re aware of every affected site and are doing everything possible to get everyone back online as soon as we can. 💪

🔥 Napier, Elim & Wolvengat Area Network Update – Our Team Is on Site!🔥

Following the recent fire damage in the region, our technical team is currently hard at work since 05h00 repairing the Napier tower infrastructure to get all clients back online as soon as possible.

The extreme heat from the fires caused significant damage to equipment, and our technicians are replacing affected antennas and cables right now.

Unfortunately, another tower just went offline.
Our team spent the entire day at the site clearing vegetation to prevent further damage.

We’ll investigate the issue as soon as it’s safe to do so and start repair work immediately to restore services as quickly as possible.

🔥 Bredasdorp Tower Restored – All Clients Back Online! 🔥

One of our major towers was severely damaged during the Bredasdorp mountain fire.
Although we had already cleared vegetation around the site, the extreme heat melted all the cables and completely destroyed six antennas.

Our dedicated technical team worked tirelessly to replace everything that was damaged.
Thanks to our spare stock and quick response, all clients were back online by 12h00 today — less than 24 hours after the outage and only 6 hours after repairs started!💪

A huge thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding during this time. 🙏

📡🔥 Network Status Update – Bredasdorp & Napier📡🔥

A large wildfire is currently burning in the Bredasdorp mountain area and moving toward Napier.
Our teams have already cleared vegetation around towers as a precaution, but unfortunately the fire has damaged one tower and the main fibre cable feeding Napier.

🔹 Some farms are currently offline.
🔹 Napier clients will experience reduced speeds as traffic is rerouted through alternative paths.
🔹 Wireless clients in Napier may also experience outages later if the fire reaches the Napier tower area.

Repair work will start as soon as it is safe for our technicians to access the affected sites.
Smoke and strong winds are making conditions very difficult, and high winds are expected for the next three days.

🚧 Civil works will officially commence on Monday, 20 October 2025.
