Game Day at The Parks.

A true sports hub.

This past weekend, Taonga Business Group partnered with Hollywoodbets to deliver a Soweto Derby activation in Tembisa …and The Parks gave exactly what a proper football day should feel like.

An outdoor fan park setup, a fully engaged crowd, and an atmosphere that builds long before kickoff and carries through the final whistle.

Before the match even started, the experience was already active. Customers were engaging with the setup…from the TV gaming stations where guests could play while waiting for kickoff, to interactive soccer activities that kept the energy going across the space. It wasn’t just about watching the game, it was about being part of the moment.

As the day progressed, the venue filled up, the energy lifted, and the match-day experience took over. The live engagement, the crowd reactions, and the overall flow of the day created a strong connection between the brand and the audience.

One of the standout moments was the Bafana Bafana jersey giveaway, a reminder of the bigger stage ahead as the country prepares for what’s coming next.

What makes The Parks work is simple , it already understands sport. The crowd, the setup, and the environment naturally create a fan park experience that people respond to.

At Taonga Business Group, our role is to bring brands into spaces like this in a way that enhances what already exists, while creating real visibility and engagement.

📍 CAFE 69 – KWA-THEMA (Far East)

This past weekend, Taonga Business Group, in partnership with Hollywoodbets, activated the Soweto Derby in Kwa-Thema, a space that is often overlooked when it comes to large-scale brand experiences.

And yet, what we found was powerful.

Cafe 69 was already alive; Gospel meets R&B, a full venue, a different kind of crowd, a different kind of energy. Not manufactured, not forced. Real.

Our role was to step into that environment and introduce structured brand engagement within it , connecting the Hollywoodbets experience to a market that is present, responsive, and ready.

This is exactly what we are building at Taonga Business Group.

We are intentional about:
• Taking brands into township and peri-urban spaces that are often ignored
• Creating meaningful partnerships between brands and local venues
• Driving real customer engagement, not just visibility
• Positioning these venues as viable platforms for national campaigns

The Far East is not lacking in audience. It has simply been under-served.

This activation was a reminder that when brands show up in these spaces with intention, the response is there.

We are proud to be bridging that gap.
