BRACE YOURSELF FOR THE WORSE

It is with no surprise that the lockdown in South Africa was extended with 2 more weeks. Because this is a global pandemic, hence it needs a global solution. South Africa cannot come out of its lockdown while developed countries like the UK, USA and France are all locked down. South Africa will remain in lockdown until those countries with their best health systems will come out of their lockdown first. Then we will scrutinise if their social measures after lockdown were effective. Only after that can South Africa hope to come out of its lockdown, copy social measures from those countries and apply them locally here. We cannot take the risk to take the lead and come out of our lockdown so that the rest of the world can learn from us. Never.

Personal experience
I wanted to see what can happen if the first person I meet today has coronavirus.
I went out to fill petrol in my car. I received the bank card reader machine to put my pin. (Assumption: I was infected there).
Then I put my bank card back in wallet. Infected my clothes and my wallet.
I drove my car to a super market. Infected my wheel drive.
Removed my car key to lock the car. Infected the car key and the car door.
Used my bank card in the super market. Infected the super market card reader.
Received a phone call. Infected my phone.
Drove back home and opened my house door. Infected my house key and door.
Washed my hands until the shoulder. Then changed my clothes and started using my phone again. When should I remove my groceries in the plastic? Because that plastic is infected?
How many times should I change and wash my clothes in one day? When will I wash my car, car keys, house keys, house door, phone, bank card readers in all super markets and restaurant seats? There is little that we can do. But let's do that little.

Coronavirus is not a video game where I touch you, you get the virus and you die. Only less than 1% of infected people die. Some people recover from it and most people have it and it won't even make them sick. Because their immune system is strong.
Think about this: we go to a super market, how many people have touched the items we touch? The cashier who scan our items. We eat fast food, served by who? The money we touch. We send our kids to creches and schools where they play with other kids. We work in an open offices. We use work toilets. The lady who cleans our work office. We use public transport. How many people sat on those seats the entire day? We use work kitchen. Who has ever cleaned his phone? Car keys? We wash our hands then we remove our clothes. Let's be realistics. Stop panicking.

This world is made for women, because:
Most people who live on the streets are men
Most people in our prisons are men
Most people who commit su***de are men
Most people who die at war are men
Most people who fail at school are men
Most people who are fired at work are men

Let's not confused power and competence. If you want a taxi driver, it will be a man not because men are powerful and they prevent women to become taxi drivers. The same applies to women as well because if you want a housekeeper, it will be a women not because women prevent men to become housekeepers. Why most executives are men and most HR and PA are women? Don't worry, the receptionist at our company is a man and the gardener is a woman.

If you stand in the parking slots of a company, you might be easily seduced to work for it. You notice everybody leaving with a car to go home. Often it is like that in life: we perceive it depending on where we stand. Like in the case of this company, only when you stand at the main gate that you will discover that 90% of employees enter there walking. If for instance soon after leaving the parking, you land into a set of offices. There, a tea girl is busy serving people tea in their offices. Only to learn after a day that those were the company directors. So, you might judge someone based on your own life experience, where you stand or where you land. Let me take you to the main gate and see if you will perceive things the same way. Every person is unique, has a unique experience, and has has a unique condition. Keep your opinion to yourself, and STOP.

Now I understand why men don't want to get married. I saw an unemployed single woman with a maid. Why would I marry such a woman if I can buy a washing machine, and I can lock my house when I am at work? No one will mess it so as to clean it every day. I eat lunch at our canteen at work, and I pass by a restaurant or fast food on my way home. Why would I make another woman a Queen with a maid while I am working hard every day to provide for her? What have I done for my mother?
