NOOO NOOO NOOOOO !!! 😭😭😭😭
This is HOW NÓT(!!!) to pack!!!
This video breaks my heart. Consignment stock that arrived, 5 out 14 sets are fine. The rest are either cracked/ broken or gold loss due to using cling wrap (TIGHTLY) wrapped and zero protection...

We will do a video for you to show you how to pack. A busy week ahead but I will try to get a gap and demonstrate proper packaging to ensure zero breakages or damage.

The poor owner was sick and asked someone else to pack for her.. 😢😢😢😢

🌹 BONE CHINA VS CHINA – WOULD YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE? 🌹

While helping a client search through some Moonlight Rose pieces, I placed one Royal Albert Moonlight Rose sucrier (lidded sugar bowl) amongst the other Moonlight Rose items on display.

Did you notice that one piece was different?

Most people don't.

The reason is simple: from a normal viewing distance, the difference is often impossible to see.

So what exactly is Bone China?

Fine Bone China contains bone ash as part of its composition. This gives it several characteristics that collectors have admired for generations:

🌹 Lighter in weight

🌹 Remarkably strong despite its delicate appearance

🌹 More translucent when held to the light

🌹 A warm, elegant appearance

For many years, Royal Albert built its reputation on Fine Bone China produced in England.

So how do collectors identify differences between pieces?

The answer is often found underneath rather than on top.

Collectors will look at:

🌹 The backstamp

🌹 Country of manufacture

🌹 Production period

🌹 Translucency

🌹 Weight and feel in the hand

The Moonlight Rose sucrier in this display blends beautifully with the English-made pieces around it. Unless you know what to look for, you would probably never spot it.

And that is one of the fascinating things about collecting — sometimes the real story is found on the underside of a piece rather than in the pattern itself.

Would you have spotted it?

🌹 P.S. Before anyone asks...

"Craig" was interested in the collection but chose another.

So, for now at least, this beautiful Moonlight Rose collection remains available. 😊

🏰 "VILLA BOIS DU SUD"!! 🏰

✨️A MUST READ (below) AND WATCH✨️ the amazing video herewith attached about Rian and Renthia Bezuidenhoit's fairytale adventure and about... 🏰"VILLA BOIS DU SUD"!!🏰

And... (🤭🤣🤭) OH MY WORD... I had quite a laugh hearing myself being referred to as “the Queen of Royal Albert” in South Africa — certainly nót a title I would ever give myself — but it was shared with such kindness and humour that it truly made my day!!! 🤣🫶🏻🫶🏻

👑🏰💑.Their fairytale begins as follows...

A road trip through the Natal Midlands, an antique store visit, and one unexpected Royal

Albert discovery led this wonderful couple into the world of fine bone china — and eventually to my page while searching for the perfect Lady Hamilton dinner service for their beautiful Villa Bois du Sud.

Listening to their story in their newly released YouTube video genuinely made me smile. From afternoon teas with their first Royal Albert tea set to planning a winter dinner around a beautifully laid table, it reminded me once again how porcelain becomes part of people’s homes, traditions, and memories.

One particular line stayed with me:
“You can’t actually have a dinner without a beautiful bone china set…”

Somehow, I think many collectors will understand exactly what they meant.

The current video features the unboxing of their beautiful Lady Hamilton dinner service at Villa Bois du Sud, and there is also another video still to come — this time featuring their visit with me personally, where we spoke about Royal Albert, collecting, porcelain, and the stories behind these timeless pieces.

I’ve included a preview image from the upcoming episode, which I am very much looking forward to sharing with you soon.

Thank you, Rian & Renthia, for your warmth, enthusiasm, and for allowing me to be part of your Royal Albert journey.

And lastly, thank you to éveryone who continues to support my page and my collection.

With deep appreciation

Adri 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🫶🏻😇😇

🌹 ROYAL ALBERT: OLD COUNTRY ROSES 🌹
Complete Tea & Coffee Collection for 12
Made in England

There is something especially beautiful about seeing an older Royal Albert collection preserved completely — not only admired for its elegance, but appreciated for the history it carries with it.

This particular Old Country Roses tea and coffee collection for 12 has already found its home, but it felt far too special not to share.
Made in England and dating to the earlier period before the 1962 registered mark, it carries that unmistakable old-world charm that collectors so often search for — delicate workmanship, rich colour, graceful shapes and the warmth that only vintage English bone china seems to hold.

Some pieces are simply collected. Others are chosen.

And perhaps that is why we continue to treasure Royal Albert so deeply — not merely for the porcelain itself, but for the atmosphere it creates, the memories it holds, and the quiet elegance it brings into a home.

For those who appreciate the quieter side of elegance.

With appreciation,
Adri

SOLD!

This Victorian beauty is still available!

🌿 Hammersley “Victorian Violets” 🌿

50-Piece Grand Tea & Coffee Service for 8
Hand-painted Longton bone china • 1947–1955 •

PRICE: R24 860.00 for complete collection
Available in South Africa 🇿🇦

✨ A SET COLLECTORS RECOGNISE INSTANTLY
Some patterns whisper.
Others announce themselves the moment they enter a room.
“Victorian Violets” is one of them. 🌿
Picture a quiet Staffordshire morning…
At the Hammersley works on Sutherland Road, a paintress dips her squirrel-hair brush into violet wash and gently brings a cluster of flowers to life on a blank saucer.
Seventy-five years later, those same soft, matte violets—each one slightly different—are ready for your table.

🌿 WHAT IS INCLUDED
1 footed teapot + rose-knob lid (6-cup)
1 footed coffee pot + rose-knob lid (6-cup)
2 scalloped milk jugs (one low, one tall)
2 open sugar bowls with gilded interiors
8 tea trios (cup, saucer, 20 cm plate)
8 coffee duos (tall can cup + saucer)
2 broad 25 cm cake plates
Total: 50 pieces

✨ WHY THIS SET STANDS OUT
Every handle curls like a vine.
Every spout and rim is finished with hand-applied gold that still catches the light beautifully.
Hold a piece up to the window and you’ll see that signature glow—fine, translucent bone china at its best.

🏺 AUTHENTICITY & PERIOD
Hand-painted | 1947–1955
Produced during Hammersley’s golden post-war years, this set carries the characteristic green backstamps of the period—an important detail for collectors.

🌿 A LITTLE HISTORY
Founded in 1862 in the heart of the Potteries, Hammersley remained a family business for over a century.
“Victorian Violets” became one of their most loved patterns—advertised in London as early as 1913.
Each violet is free-hand painted, meaning no two pieces are ever exactly the same.

✨ A CHARMING FACTORY DETAIL
One coffee saucer is approximately 5 mm wider than the others—
a small but lovely reminder of true hand production.
It fits perfectly and adds to the authenticity of the set.

🌿 CONDITION
Flawless.
No chips, cracks, or crazing.
Gold bright. Violets vivid.
Beautifully preserved and ready to use or display.

🌸 FROM MY COLLECTION TO YOUR HOME
Carefully sourced for collectors who appreciate quality, history, and complete sets.

Kind regards,
Adri Knoetze
