Minimum Requirements
2–3 years’ experience in financial services, insurance, banking, investments or related sales.
RE5 preferred/required depending on regulatory role.
FSCA Fit & Proper compliance.
NQF Level 5 in Wealth Management/Financial Planning or relevant qualification — advantageous.
Class of Business (COB) certificates relevant to the products advised.
1–2 years’ proven sales/advisory experience with targets.
Strong communication, networking and client relationship skills.
Driver’s licence & own reliable vehicle — advantageous.
Existing client network/book of business — advantageous, not essential.

Ideal candidate: An experienced financial advisor, insurance broker, wealth consultant, banker or strong financial-services salesperson looking to grow in holistic financial planning.

For years, I've been asked one question:

Financial planning in South Africa is about far more than numbers.

As Black financial planners, we cannot ignore the realities of our history, culture, and the money mindsets inherited from generations who had to prioritise survival over wealth creation.

Before we tell people where to invest, we must first understand what money means to them.
Why do so many of us carry the weight of supporting extended family?
Why is discussing money still taboo in many homes?
Why do we often struggle with guilt when setting financial boundaries?

And how has our journey through apartheid and post-apartheid South Africa shaped our relationship with wealth?
At Financial Wise Wealth, we believe that true financial planning starts with understanding people before products. It starts with education before advice, and with building legacies rather than simply accumulating assets.

Our parents fought for freedom.
