Armed Response Advanced Practical handgun Shooting Enhancement Class
This Class aims to increase participants confidence and proficiency in their duty pistol platform. The course will give more focus on fundamentals of handgun marksmanship (balancing accuracy and speed)
Class content is designed for the intermediate skilled Armed response officer . The goal of the class is twofold, upscalling the basics and the ability to self-diagnose performance based on hits on target.
At the end of the class, the participant should have the ability for self-assessment and correction during their private range session.
Safety briefing
Stance, balance and grip with live fire demonstrations.
Grip – two handed grip (both hands on pistol)
Stance – a modified weaver waist down to isosceles upper body
Balance – demonstrated various ways to meet individual build
Gun safety, loading and unloading pistols properly and clearing jams. Covered
Fast Magazines Change Live fires
Reviewing Fundamentals / Breaking down the fundamentals
Live fire drill
Fast Sigth alignment
Applying correct grip and trigger
Manipulation
Fast Draw and presentation Pistol to target
Target transition cadence to improved speed,recoil management
Shooting on the move live fire
Body movement footwork
Shooting in barricade with multiple targets transition left and right side of a barricade.
Kneeling / Prone / Supine/ shooting drills

What to bring:
Any modern in good working condition handgun with at least 2 magazines
Belt, OWB holster and mag pouches
Eye and hearing protection
Tactical belts and plate Carrier for training (dry fit shirts and tactical pants with belt loops)
Food and hydration
300 of ammo
