Much like our logo, which is designed to showcase perpetual motion, we needed our design on the Forge to compliment this philosophy of propelling you on your run.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We want you to bounce and move forward, we want you to get your life going. Not bounce up and down looking like a tennis champ waiting to return a serve. Static is not helpful.

To build forward propulsion we decided against utilising any form of plates into the midsole. We're not against that, we think at some stage, we could well incorporate a built in plate into another model. But this has its down sides such as sacrificing comfort for speed, and increased cost. We know our midsole has a whole lot of bounce, and we were able to create the compression pillars in the heel based on the idea that the the pillars will release the stored kinetic energy from landing (as opposed to just release energy) in the mid-heel area that will accentuate that forward motion, and then as you move through your running gait cycle towards the mid foot area, the thinner compound provides a firmer base to roll you forward.

And then once you get into your rhythm, like most things, it's hard to stop.
