t's been 4 years and about 1,500 followers since I first introduced myself here.

I am Shingai Nyagweta, founder of DSGN Native and DSGN Exchange. Since launching DSGN Native in 2021, so much has changed and grown, but one thing has stayed constant: my passion for helping people turn the dream of a successful fashion brand into something real. Everyone has an opinion right? When I first got this advice , I dismissed it very quickly, it seemed abrasive and very black and white.

But over the years, I realized the people with the most to say weren't people who had been in my shoes or understood just how hard it is to crack the Fashion industry.

It's not that you MUST pay for advice, but listening to people you would be WILLING to pay if you could, has been a game changer and has dulled the "general public noise".

Other people I'm willing to listen too: friends who buy my products and services, family that invested in my education, phenominal customers and clients who have stuck with me through tough economic times. These are people I'd forgive if their advice didn't work out 😝

So choose your voices carefully and the most important voices are YOUR heart and gut.
