Some places are made for sightseeing.

Little Villa was made for being together 🤍

Fresh bread in the kitchen.

Cake waiting on the counter.

Long meals around the table.

Kids in the pool.

Slow mornings with coffee while the house wakes up.

Tucked away in Hermanus, Little Villa is the kind of place where families gather, friends reconnect, and weekends somehow feel longer.

A home away from home — with space to spread out, settle in, and make memories.

Some days we pause and realise just how blessed we truly are. ✨

Over the past few months, guests at Little Villa have described their stays with words like:

“Beautifully furnished”
“Comfortable”
“Helpful”
“Peaceful”
“Warm”
“Home away from home”

And honestly… there’s no bigger compliment.

What started as a vision for a beautiful coastal escape has slowly become a place where families reconnect, friends gather around the firepit, pets run freely in the garden, and strangers arrive as guests but leave with memories attached to this home.

Reading reviews about the comfortable beds, peaceful gardens, thoughtful spaces, sea views, and the kindness of our team reminds us why we do this in the first place.

Hospitality is never just about rooms.
It’s about how people feel when they arrive.

To every guest who has supported Little Villa, recommended us, shared photos, left kind words, or simply chosen to stay with us — thank you. 🤍

We don’t take it for granted.

And to Blessed, our incredible house manager, whose kindness and care guests constantly mention — thank you for helping create the warmth people feel here every day.

Little Villa is growing into something really special, and we feel incredibly grateful to be part of that journey.

Hi, I’m Nicolette Vorster 👋🏼

Co-owner of Ideas Cartel, which I’ve been building alongside my husband since 2014 — growing from a single space in 2013 into a collection of places designed for how we live, work, and connect today.

What we’ve created has evolved into more than just one thing…
From Ideas Cartel workspaces and our Claremont co-working hub,
to The Old Foundry Hotel in Green Point,
STOEP in Kalk Bay,
Sonnekus in St James,
and Little Villa in Hermanus.

Each space has its own personality — but they all share the same intention: to create environments that feel considered, inspiring, and easy to step into.

The journey hasn’t been linear.
There have been moments of growth, pressure, reinvention — and a lot of learning along the way.

But that’s the beauty of building something real… you evolve with it.

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created — and even more excited about what’s still to come.

If you haven’t experienced it yet, pop in, grab a coffee, stay a while, or come and work from one of our spaces.

We’d love to welcome you.

A little cottage in Kalk Bay worth discovering…

A very special offering which the owners, Nicolette and Schuyler have decided to merge into the boutique hotel offering in Kalk Bay. A space that they originally intended to keep for themselves — the Owner’s Cottage at STOEP.

But they realised something: it’s far too special not to share.

Think slow mornings, salty sea air, and a fridge stocked and ready for you when you arrive. No rushing to the shops, no logistics — just arrive, unpack, and settle into Kalk Bay life.

The cottage is perfect for a weekend reset, a romantic escape, or a creative work-from-anywhere stay. You’re a short stroll from Kalk Bay’s harbour, incredible restaurants, tidal pools, and mountain walks — yet tucked away enough to feel completely private.

It’s simple, thoughtful and full of the little details Nicolette and Schuyler loved from their personal travels.

If you’re looking for a coastal escape this year, take a look:

And if you know Kalk Bay, you’ll understand why this little corner of the world is so hard to leave.
