Please be aware that the EE Amendment Act, No.4 of 2022 has not yet become effective.
As a result of this, all designated employers, including small employers (those with 1-49 employees) must submit their 2023 EE Reports using the current EEA, in order to earn Management Controls points for BEE Scorecard purposes.

The 2023 reporting period opened on 1 September 2023 for submissions. Closing date for online submissions is 15 January 2024.

How do you know if you are a designated employer?
1. If you have 50 or more employees or
2. If you have less than 50 employees but your annual turnover exceeds the threshold in terms of schedule 4 (see attached)

The Non Profit Sector plays a vital role in supporting South Africa’s poor and under privileged communities. In many ways this role is greater and more beneficial than government support.

The sourcing of funding, however, is becoming an increasing challenge for many NPOs especially with government grants having been phased out almost entirely.
