In today's podcast we discuss whether or not the pastor or any other employee of the church is liable for income tax on a vehicle purchased for the individual by the church. The podcast was recorded in 2015 and is applicable to the tax year ending 29 February 2016. Should the income tax regulation around the purchase of vehicles for employees change for the following tax year we will update you.

Tip of the week: In addition to bank reconciliations being performed on a monthly basis, the pastor (in the case of the church), chief financial officer (in the case of any other institution) should check the movement on the bank account a frequent basis to identify any unauthorised or unusual entries.
