We bring 4 LOCKABLE wheelie bins around, load and remove (same day) and the documents get destroyed.

* We can also drop wheelie bins off and collect (on another day) once full. A supplement fee will apply.

* Paper clips/staples/files are all fine and will be taken.

* If there are paper sleeves/folders - either you remove them, or we charge R250 to remove.

* We can collect anywhere from Wellington, Langebaan, Cape Town, Worcester, Grabouw up to Hermanus

* Collections further than 20km out from our offices carry a supplement fee.

With the team from Atlantic Suzuki

The team from Silent Disco will be there with some headsets for people to wear as they clean.
It's quite a cool concept - where people where earphones, dance and party up a storm disco style...except you dont hear any noise.

Got asked today of these ice packs can be recycled

Unfortunately - with the liquid - NO...
If the liquid (which is silicone based) was taken out and the plastic rinsed and dried off - we can recycle the plastic "casing/bag"

Some clinics and pharmacies have medical waste disposal bins if you have anything medical that needs to be disposed.

What do we do with all the recycling that we collect?

Answer...
We donner it into the local river

That's a joke ne...(just in case)(a really bad joke)

(Please) Pop in an come visit us at any time and see what we get up to...bring coffee. Milk. 1 Sugar.

To answer the question of what REALLY happens to the recycling.

(With your amazing help)...We employ 100 people (part time) and 20 people full time to collect and sort through the recycling.
Paper - white paper, cardboard, common, newspaper (and other)
Glass - all glass goes together
Plastics - PET, LD, HD, PP (and other)
Metal - soft and Ali cans
Tetra pack
Polystyrene
Waste & others

We then get recyclers like Mpact, WasteMart, Wycko, Extrupet, Mplas, CRDC etc to either collect (or we take it to them)
And then they do the ACTUAL recycling.

Next question
How do we know it doesn't land up on the dump or in a river

Answer
It would cost us a fortune to take the stuff to the dump - it simply doesn't make any sense whatsoever
And
We would be a royal KOOS if we dumped it in a river - and if caught we would get fined heavily by the COCT

Last question
Do we make money from the sale of the materials that we collect

Answer
Yes...another reason for us to not be a KOOS and dump the stuff irresponsibly

So like the weather - we are keeping it cool today.

Can the boxes that freezable food stuffs gets put in - be recycled?

Yebo yebo yes.

We (and the recyclers) call it "common" paper/k4 (k4 is the recycling term for cardboard)

Oats and cereal boxes are similar. Just dont freeze your coco pops cos it chips your teeth.
