There are two things that came up for me when I stitched these clips together:
1) Setting up a venue for a day of process facilitation is part of the work of honouring not only what you do and bring into the world, but also honouring those who will experience you holding their process.
I've discovered that a well-planned venue set up helps me to land in the space, orient myself toward the session's arc, and activate my appreciation to be in a space with a particular system/group.
It's in this space I connect with my WHY of what I do and connect with my co-facilitator (if there is one).
Venue set up can often land up feeling rushed, incomplete, and lacking of what you think it needs. I try my best to prepare myself so that it can instead feel like a sacred ritual for my work practice.
2) Generosity as part of my facilitator being.
In this clip, I acknowledge for how they model generosity seen in how they prepare a space. There is always an abundance of materials, things that excite participants on the tables like fidgets, markers, pastels, crayons, colourful pipe cleaners, craft supplies etc.
I find that when you're generous as a facilitator, participants end up being generous too - with their participation, input, and presence.
Have a happy weekend facilitators out there!
Get some rest and hold yourself the way you hold others.
