Provisional Tax: many of us received an email from SARS reminding us that our provisional tax returns are due on 28 February. This caused a lot of alarm for people that weren’t even sure they were provisional tax payers. In short if you are earning an income that is not taxed by a registered employer on a monthly basis then yes you are a provisional taxpayer and your tax return is due on 28th of February!
