Flat plate or evacuated tube... what’s actually the difference? ☀️💧

Both are designed to capture solar energy to heat your household water, but they do it using different collector designs.

A flat plate collector uses a single absorber panel to capture heat from the sun, while an evacuated tube collector uses individual vacuum-sealed glass tubes designed to capture solar energy while reducing heat loss.
