Senior Dealer – Corporate and Private Clients - Legal and Property
R40 000 – R45 000 per month

My client has a very success Foreign Trading company.
They assist companies and private clients with all their foreign exchange related transfers and cross-border payments by tailoring their solutions to their unique requirements.
They are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Senior FX Dealer to join their team.
Reports to
The Senior FX Dealer will report to the Head FX Dealer.
Job Overview
Responsible for the performance of the trading book and ensuring that the desk is successful in operations, sales, and profitability.
Trade Ex*****on or Dealing:
• Executing trades on behalf of clients. This includes securing exchange rates to buy and sell foreign currency in a timely and accurate manner and managing margins to maximize the profitability of transactions for clients within set parameters.
• Monitor market conditions to assess the impact of economic events on the financial markets and currencies. This includes understanding market trends and familiarizing yourself with current events and news to always stay informed.
• Manage market and exchange rate risk. This includes assessing market risks, identifying potential hazards, and implementing risk mitigation strategies for clients.
• Provide clients with relevant market insights and analysis. This includes keeping clients informed of market trends, providing relevant information, and offering their “house views” when asked.
• Ensure compliance: You will need to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SARB Exchange Control, anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations.
Relationship Management:
My client believes that happy clients are the key to their success and building personal relationships with clients is an integral part of that.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients. This includes understanding their business needs, providing personalized service, and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
• Identifying opportunities to cross-sell products and services to existing clients. This includes introducing new products and services, expanding existing relationships, and increasing the revenue from existing customers through profit maximizing margin management.
• Resolve any issues that arise with clients. This includes addressing complaints, managing conflicts, and ensuring that clients receive timely and effective service.
• Display a proactive approach to managing the relationships with your clients, evidenced by a record of call and meeting activity which you must maintain.
Business Development:
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and generate leads for the business from both internal and external sources through conducting market research, analyzing their client base, industry trends, and assessing the competitive landscape.
• Support the BC team in converting new leads and assisting with RFQs, pricing discussions and market information for new potential clients.
• Develop and maintain business relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to ensure retention and grow business revenue.
Minimum qualifications and experience
• Matric
• Tertiary financial degree
• RE exams may be required
• ACI Dealing Certificate would be advantageous.
• FX Dealing experience or exposure would be advantageous.
