A message to parents and leaders on this youth day!

The greatest honor given to mankind acknowledged both in Heaven and Earth, is being a parent and being a leader, because both of these represent God in human form. The greatest award one can attain is to hold these in reverence and honor, as God did not only entrust us with those souls (His people), but keeps us accountable to doing it in justice and righteousness. As parents and leaders, we have the power to shape other people's lives for good or bad, for honor or dishonor. This power we did not attain it by ourselves, it was endowed by God to us to show Him up as the loving, merciful, and graceful provider He is. Hence, no qualification can make you a great leader nor a great parent, but it is through the inner journey of self, submitting to the Laws of nature and nurture which God has set for man in wholeness of his trinity (His Image), we are able to reach the level of parenting and leadership God intended for us.

This book contains 100+ personal and leadership inspirations about life; to encourage, to motivate and to inspire us in our daily lives. These wisdom nuggets challenges our life patterns and beliefs, and brings about critical thinking and reflection to the reader.
This book is full of life lessons built on experience, discernment and the faithful Word of God. It takes an approach that everyone is a leader, purposefully and uniquely made, the only difference being the portfolio and the extent of that leadership. As born leaders one ingredient needed is continuous learning. It is through learning that we can live in triumph and lead a fruitful life. While life is given freely, leadership is worked for and the journey is not easy and the journey never ends. Leadership is a choice and is more intrinsically motivated than externally rewarded, meaning it requires one to be more determined and intentional.
In a world that requires results and belonging as a way of success irrespective of detriment, leadership can be a lonely road especially when one is conflicted between doing the right thing and doing a good thing, which therefore requires an inner embedded conviction, irrespective of the consequence.

It was a great honour and a fulfilling experience to have presented in the Knowledge Resources seminar today on Workforce Planning, amongst great speakers in the field. The theme of my presentation focused on the Skills Planning being the fundamental obligation for a productive workforce and competitive organisation. When I changed my career from Chemistry to Human Resources Development, I was so fortunate to have worked for organisations that were able to merge my technical strength with people development. If one looks at the 15 items listed below, and we use the 'why' root cause analysis, most if not all are directly or indirectly linked to the planning, accessing, and prioritising of skills development but if we may go inside some organisations, none of these feature as problem areas and even if they do, lack of upskilling people may not be seen as a reason. My greatest conviction is that skills planning directs how workforce planning will go, and these are two different processes. An organisation may choose to combine for efficiency but we should not lose sight that people do leave (irrespective of retention strategies sometimes) but the skills needs remain. What challenges me daily as a talent development specialist are these two questions; If we cannot get the skills agenda right, how do we build the next step of capability building for Sustainability and Competitiveness? To what do we align the abilities and the potential of the workforce for a lean and agile workplace?

The book has taken the approach of life being an open system. A frame of reference being the operational process in this system, which defines the quality of our lives through our behaviours and decisions. The book’s inspiration is the understanding that not everything we do remains in the physical realm. Rather, there is a higher authority operating in a higher dimension than what a man’s ability and intellect can ever hope to reach. This is the spiritual dimension that we sow our decisions and behaviors into, which we reap from in return. The spiritual dimension controls all the physical dimensions, including every activity we participate in with our lives, our careers, our relationships, and our beliefs. This book balances the concepts of spiritual life and physical life. It also considers what we define as successful in this world and how it may be as worthless in another. The intent of the book is for the reader to reevaluate their frame of reference and possibly transform their lives forever.
