Our mission at Mami Wata is to connect the world to the power of African surf.

We are creating AFROSURF - THE BOOK, the first book to comprehensively document and celebrate surfing and related street culture in Africa. Together with Selema Masekela and some of Africa's finest photographers and writers, we will explore original African surf culture from Morocco to Somalia to Mozambique to South Africa and beyond.

The book ships in December and will be a 300 page mind bomb funded, with your help, through pre-orders on Kickstarter. All profits from the sale of the book will go to the incredible African surf therapy organisations, Waves for Change and Surfers Not Street Children.
