From 1 September 2026, Ecomplete Commerce becomes Smollan.
Twenty-three years in the making.
We started in 2003 as an SEO agency. Then full-service digital — paid, social, web development, one of South Africa’s first Google partners. Then, in 2015, we took twelve years of digital experience and built something different: a fully managed ecommerce business.
Today, that means the whole thing. Platform strategy and Shopify Plus builds. Migrations and ERP integration. Performance marketing, CRM, retail media, content, data. Customer service and fulfilment. DTC, B2B and unified commerce — partners from click to delivery, under one roof.
None of it happened because of strategy alone. It happened because clients backed us before we’d earned it and stayed while we figured it out. And because a team of people did the unglamorous, brilliant work every single day, whether or not anyone noticed. To all of you — thank you. This milestone belongs to you as much as to us.
Smollan has been our majority shareholder since 2022, and we now join digital commerce specialists from around the world under one global brand.
