I ❤️ my large, colourful Wonderbags, and save so much on electricity. Rice, stews, pasta, lentil dishes…. There is so much one can cook/ prepare with them. 🎉No burning while it cooks, and it stays warm for the entire day! 🥳🥳They come in amazing bright colours and designs and work better than ovens/ stoves in my opinion when cooking certain things. Great for staff gifts- the gift that keeps on giving! 💵💰The monetary savings to one is massive, not to mention the environmental benefits 🦋🐞. They are huge and so well made. ✅On special until the end of July. With my environmental background and passion for sustainable living, I’m sharing to all 🙏

LOVED this project working with such an enthusiast client! While DONE. By Tam relies on client’s gardeners when doing small garden projects, they learn how to prep soil, plant properly, and take care and in the long term ownership and are accountable for maintaining the garden post installation. Garden schedule developed and left with the client to continue keeping the landscaped spaces in a well maintained and beautiful space.

Three recent ‘A’dvisory projects where I was tasked to 1) guide the garden maintenance company on property clean-up, what and how to prune/ cut, deadhead and general tidying including . This client is an ER doctor so long hours away from 🏡 . PHOTO 2. A long-standing client who wanted advice on and , ideas on a feature wall, new outdoor furniture, what to add for shade and wind-shelter on the patio, as well as costs/ quotes for a pvc tubing ‘roof’ or a ceiling. .by_tam took 2 hours to advise on reputable and recommended service providers to do the work, took measurements for virtual quotes to be generated (saves everyone time), and guided on where to purchase outdoor furniture, the options and wall paper service providers. A gorgeous natural landscape (full-of-life) wallpaper was selected from to bring the outside garden in to the undercover patio. Swipe ⬅️. This job entailed fitting the contents of 2 deep freezes in to 1. 🧩 ⚖️Careful and considered planning pre-purchasing. 📏📝Various clear storage containers from and were purchased and were used for their height to maximise space in the deep freeze. A clear 3 tiered step 🪜 unit was used in the fridge for small items of the same height (jams and dips) to allow all items to be visible for the client. Speciality cheeses🧀, imported butters 🧈and various cured meats 🥓 are in abundance for this client so containers with lids were selected for these items from an odour 👃🏻 perspective. is considered for all organisation jobs. A medicine/ herbal treatment zone and broom cupboard that we organised that was under-utilised. Adding hooks, categorising containers once the items were sorted, allowed for the maximisation of spaces by utilising vertical options. Cleaning products were located in various places of the flat. Having a designated spot for everything minimises wastage, saves on space in this small flat; where everything needed an identified home to find things easily.

Another service .by_tam 💜s to do is ‘A’dvise clients on 1) maintenance needs, 🛠️, 2) making rental properties safe and compliant using my trusted service providers‼️, 3) identifying gaps/ opportunities to improve the operational (runnning costs) 💰of homes 🏠for clients. For this property, DB boards needed tracing and labelling to understand the electrical ⚡️context of the home where some of the property is used as a long term rental, while the other half is for short term rentals. General maintenance tasks were suggested, a solar system spec’ed🌞, the swimming pool needed work, and the electrical geysers and pipes are being insulated via lagging and geyser blankets and geyser timers are being installed. More environmentally friendly 🌳 and saving client significant costs as there are a number of geysers and one is exposed to the elements. Safety gate at the pool soon to be installed, then .

.by_tam just completed and signed off the new roof that replaced slate tiles and compromised malthoid underlay. Kliplok-lok with concealed fixings and 100mm insulation. Working during the rains was challenging, but job completed last week.

Today .by_tam is undertaking inventories for a soon-to-be in Sea Point. We’re also ‘A’dvising on essential (missing) items to make the apartment more comfortable for the guests, and ensuring that the basic maintenance items are highlighted and undertaken ensuring enjoyable stays for guests.

A small Cottage revamp which .by_tam ‘M’anaged where we replaced the outdated shower rose with a hand held, movable shower handrail. Extractor fan added in the shower. The old, ‘marbled’ effect shower walls were sanded and painted with a waterproof grey paint. The yellow cretestone (sealed) walls were sanded and painted with a fresh, off-white good quality paint that is hard wearing and washable. Cupboard doors serviced, re-painted and new handles added. Playroom re-organise. Measuring shelving to ensure that storage containers fit as snuggly as possible. Repurposing existing containers and then supplementing with clear lidded boxes that are labelled. Everything should have a place for spaces to be kept neat and tidy. Swipe ⬅️ for more photos.
