Celebrating Our Creatives Across Africa!

The UNDP timbuktoo Creatives Ideation 8-week Programme has come to a close, and what a journey it’s been! With 30 participants from 9 African countries, this programme has been a vibrant exchange of ideas, creativity, and collaboration. Over the past two months, our cohort has reimagined the possibilities for Africa’s creative economy, learning, growing, and supporting one another as they shaped ventures with real impact.

Evan Jacobs, Head of Solutions Mapping at the United Nations Development Programme, reflected on the cohort: “This graduation is a collective achievement, a moment to honour the entirety of the cohort and the journey that you all have taken. It’s really great to see Africa in a room; it shows creativity is not limited to one industry, one country, or one story. Diversity in its truest form. This is not only a Graduation for you, but also for those who helped you along. I would like to give a special word of thanks to everyone at UVU, without your expertise, dedication, leadership, and commitment, this wouldn’t have been as successful as it was.”
