Culmen Wes – Kaap cc. specializes in Lifting Machinery/Equipment, Testing and inspection of Pressure Vessels, design of lifting equipment, design, manufacture and inspection of cradles, condition monitoring of overhead cranes and providing operator training on all lifting equipment.
Each category above will be explained in more detail below:
- LIFTING EQUIPMENT
The inspection & testing of all types of lifting equipment and lifting tackle include:
Overhead travelling cranes;
Monorail structures;
Jib Cranes/Tower Cranes;
Vehicle Lifts;
Mobile cranes;
Lift Trucks;
Mobile elevating work platforms (“Cherry pickers”);
Hydraulic Jacks;
Chain Blocks; and
Lifting tackle.
- PRESSURE VESSELS
The inspection & testing of pressure vessels include:
Air receivers;
Autoclaves;
Heat exchangers; and
Underground storage tanks.
- DESIGN
Designs of lifting related equipment including beams, cradles, and
attachments.
- CRADLES
Design, manufacture and inspection of cradles including training of users
- SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS: OVERHEAD CRANES
Condition monitoring of overhead cranes older than 20 years according to SANS ISO 12482-1. This include the special assessment and 3rd party supervision of General Overhaul Process.
- TRAINING CENTRE
- Lifting Equipment - Registered TETA training centre for the training of operators of ALL types of lifting equipment, including :
+ Forklift Truck (Code F1 – F5 & F12);
+ Mobile cranes (Truck mounted & mobile to 50t); and
+ Overhead cranes (Pendant & cab controlled).
Training courses on all other types of lifting equipment are available and can be presented at the company/clients premises.
Each Course presented by Culmen, comply with SAQA Unit Standards.
