House Vink Garage

Aluminium doors and windows have officially been measured one step closer to bringing this space together!
The garage brickwork and block walls are now complete, built right up to the underside of the rib and block concrete slab. All block work has been reinforced with 12mm steel bars and filled with concrete, ensuring a solid and durable structure.
The side entrance gate buttress wall has also been completed. This will be finished off with stone cladding to tie in beautifully with the existing accent features on the property.
Next up, plumbing and electrical reticulation will be installed across the garage floor before the concrete slab is poured setting the stage for the next phase of the build.

House Hartzer – Maintenance Update

We recently had the pleasure of working with a repeat client at Hartzer House always a good feeling to be trusted again!

This time around, the project called for scaffolding to tackle some essential maintenance on this double-storey home. Our team jumped in and got straight to work:
✔️ Gutter repairs and waterproofing
✔️ Securing and fixing loose boards
✔️ Repairs to the entry wall ceiling
✔️ Fresh paint in the entrance hall
All wrapped up in a quick 3-day turnaround in and out, and just in time before the rain arrived 🌧️

Please note: Deon would like it officially recorded that he did not climb up the scaffolding or use a ladder… so technically, he was never “up there” 🤪

Happy Easter Weekend from our Team ! 🐰🔨

From all of us on site (yes… even the guys currently wearing bunny ears 😂), we’d like to wish all our amazing clients, suppliers and supporters a very Happy and safe Easter weekend!

Between the bricks, cement and a little bit of chocolate searching, our team managed to get into the Easter spirit. Who knew construction workers could pull off bunny ears this well? 🐰

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our projects and keeps us building bigger and better every day. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Now it’s time for a well-deserved long weekend… and maybe a few Easter eggs hidden somewhere on the job site. 🥚

HOUSE VREDEKLOOF 🙌🏻💥

After 6 months of hard work (and a few hiccups along the way), our Vredekloof project is finally complete and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

What started as an open field behind the existing home has been transformed into something really special. We built a beautiful new granny flat, perfectly connected to a large braai room with open trusses and an absolutely incredible braai area the perfect space for entertaining family and friends.

Some of our favourite finishes include the stunning flooring, shutters, and Devcrete, which really bring the whole space together and give it that modern, high quality feel.

A big thank you to all our suppliers who consistently deliver the best quality materials and service. Your support makes projects like this possible.

And of course, a massive shoutout to our amazing team for the dedication and hard work that went into completing yet another beautiful home.
Looking back at where we started just an open piece of land and seeing what stands here now is honestly incredible.

We’re extremely proud of this one! !!!!!!

We are literally days away from wrapping up our Vredekloof project and the excitement is real!

This past 2 weeks has been a busy one as all the final finishes are coming together beautifully:

Final lights installed inside and out
Aircons installed
Kitchen cupboards fitted
Final plumbing underway kitchen basin & mixer Kitchen tiling started yesterday
Doors and handles fitted
Paving at the front gate for wheelchair access
Last paint touch-ups and small finishing tasks
Rubble removal in progress
Shutters installed
Shower panel fitted
Seem-less aluminium gutters

Seeing everything come together after months of planning and hard work is incredibly rewarding. The end goal is in sight, and we cannot wait to share the final reveal!

A huge thank you to all our amazing suppliers and teams for your excellent service, craftsmanship and quality products. We appreciate every single contribution that helped bring this project to life.

VREDEKLOOF PROJECT – WEEKLY UPDATE

We are officially in our final week and a half on House Vredekloof!
It’s been an incredibly busy week with all the finishes coming together and it’s amazing to finally see the vision become reality.

This week’s progress:

Plumbing…..
Solar geyser fitted on the roof
Final sanitaryware fittings installed in the bathrooms
Braai room basin connected

Electrical…..
All plugs and switches fitted
Connected into the main house DB board

Our Team….
Flooring completed
Skirtings fitted
Final interior paint touch-ups
Old gutters removed and being replaced with seamless aluminium gutters
Rubble removal
Aircon prep work completed
Final roof details waterproofing & flashing
Tiled the bathroom and it looks amazing

This has truly been an incredible project and a 6-month journey. Seeing everything come together now reminds us exactly why we love what we do. The transformation is beautiful, and the hard work is paying off!

We’re looking forward to wrapping up the final touches next week.

Vredekloof Project Update 🏗️
It’s been a busy and productive week on site, with great progress all around and the team pushing things forward nicely.

This week we:
✔️ Completed all roofing work
✔️ Finished installing ceilings indoors
✔️ Completed plastering and started skimming the walls
✔️ Finished waterproofing in the bathroom, ready for tiling next week
✔️ Completed floor topping, now ready for flooring
✔️ Began final window installations (wrapping up today)
✔️ Managed deliveries and rubble removal
✔️ Held an on-site meeting with the carpenter for final measurements

Looking ahead to next week, the team will move into finishes including cornices, priming, flooring, and skirting as we get closer to wrapping up this project.

Great momentum on site and exciting to see it all coming together! 👏✨

As we wrap up the year, a few words of gratitude…

I want to thank my team because a supervisor can only ever be great if her team is great at what they do. I am incredibly grateful for each of you.
This year has brought so much growth for me. Working together every day means we learn from each other constantly, and I truly value that.
Thank you to Deon, when I first started working with you and you sent me to the hardware store, I’d phone you three times… and I could hear you roll your eyes 🤣These days, when I call from the hardware, you answer the phone with the solution before I’ve even asked the question 🤪That must be growth!
I’m thankful for the trust, the lessons, the laughs, and the opportunities to keep improving not just in work, but as a team.

Last onsite day for the year and what a way to wrap it up!
We’ve officially wrapped up Phase 1 of this project and honestly, it ended with a bang.

The new braai room is an absolute showstopper. It blends perfectly with the existing house, works beautifully as a separate entertaining space, and is just begging to host its first braai.
The braai itself? Majestic. Bold. In my own words… donners sexy (Yes, i said it 🤪)The flooring and skirting .. Spot on !!And those trusses… ABSOLUTELY beautiful.

We’ve got one or two small things to button up in January, but make no mistakethis space is ready to be enjoyed. 🔥🐑

After 4 months of proper grafting, the team has finally caught the Christmas spirit 🎄They’ve earned every minute of the break coming their way. Even builders need a break and some time off the ladder 🪜
