UCT Student Parliament The Student Assembly is a representative body of all student structures at UCT, acting as the university student parliament.

The Student Parliament is a representative body of all student structures at UCT. It serves to advise the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) on policy matters, and keeps the SRC and its sub-structures accountable, transparent and rooted in the principles and values enshrined in the SRC constitution. The meetings of the assembly take place regularly throughout the year; all registered students

of the university are invited to observe and participate in the discussions and debates, though only appointed members may vote. Its affairs are managed by the Student Parliament Management Committee (SPMC), members of which are elected on an annual basis.
