Mainstream Renewable Power South Africa has been acquired by A.P. Moller Capital through its Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II.

The business holds 148 MW of operating and in-construction assets, 351 MW of construction-ready projects, and an 11.6 GW development pipeline across solar, wind and battery storage — making this a significant transaction for South Africa's renewable energy sector.

Congratulations to the latest graduates of Umoya Energy's Enterprise Development Programme!

Twenty local entrepreneurs from Hopefield, Moorreesburg and Piketberg have successfully completed an eight-month business development journey. Through hands-on training, mentorship and psychosocial support, participants strengthened their businesses, built confidence, and gained practical skills for sustainable growth.

Funded by Umoya Energy Wind Farm and implemented by the Initiative for Community Advancement (ICA), the programme continues to empower community-rooted enterprises, create jobs, and drive long-term local economic growth.
