Today I would like to pay tribute to Anthony Grant. He leaves the world having made a significant contribution to the coaching research space. He was probably the most prolific researcher in coaching. His legacy will live on in his writings.

Tomorrow is my last day in Namibia for 2019 .. my time has been very good here. Over 4 years I have coached close to a 100 people 96 to be precise .. run 6 team development workshops . I have been inspired by the people. Made new friends. Drunk much wine. Enjoyed many meals. Stayed at many places. I leave remembering the light of the big sky. I was glad to be part of the leadership development of not just Standard Bank but of people in this country. I wish Standard Bank much success with their listing tomorrow .

The number of people filled with self doubt is enormous. We have lost our sense of value. It is important to remember who you are in all your greatness.Remind yourself of times that you overcame obstacles, achieved great things - remember the best in you.

A good friend introduced me to Seneca’s writings. Today as we mourn the loss of a great musician Johnny Clegg these words are even more powerful “ True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for he that is so ,wants nothing. The greatest blessings of mankind are within us, and within our reach. A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he has not”
We may have dreams and goals but live in present with satisfaction as tomorrow is not a definite.
