SAMRO has partnered with the Music Business Lab to introduce the Music Business Lab Training Programme—a unique opportunity tailored for music publishers and self-published Full and Associate Members of SAMRO.

This meticulously crafted programme is aimed at equipping participants with indispensable business acumen essential for fostering sustainable growth and success within the industry.

The launch of the Music Business Lab programme represents a significant stride in SAMRO's ongoing commitment to championing and uplifting the South African music sector. By investing in the aspirations and competencies of its members, SAMRO is laying the groundwork for a future filled with promising opportunities for all involved.

Applications for the Music Business Lab will officially open on 11 April 2024. Full and Associate Publisher Members of SAMRO will receive the email on 11 April 2024 containing the application details.

The application deadline is 26 April 2024. Late applications will not be accepted.

Music creation application for funding available

SAMRO Invites Applications for the 2024 Music Creation Support Fund: R3 Million Available for 120 Members.

Full and Associate Members of SAMRO can now apply for the 2024 MCSF grants.

The MCSF aims to contribute towards the creation of new original musical works that have not yet been published, performed publicly or broadcasted. This includes new original compositions or the completion of unpublished musical works such as EPs, albums, videos, or music scores. The MCSF presents an opportunity to assist Full and Associate Members of SAMRO who are authors and composers in re-establishing their presence in the dynamic music industry landscape by consistently producing new musical compositions.
