Just over a year ago, what many believed is standard or best HR practice, a quiet thought and reflection changed many things.
Reflecting on more than 20 years in corporate leadership, the lessons, the pressure, the victories, and the growing realisation that the world of work was changing faster than many organisations and HR departments could adapt.
That afternoon planted the seed for what would become OptiWorX360.
What followed were countless late nights, early mornings, strategy sessions, debates, revisions, moments of uncertainty and many discussions with CEOs, Managing Directors, COOs and HR Leaders. A shared belief that businesses and HR needed something different.
We believed that HR should never operate separately from business strategy.
We believed that people data should drive meaningful decisions.
We believed that businesses expect HR to know everything
And most importantly, we believed there was a growing disconnect between employees and employers that needed to be addressed with honesty, simplicity, and impact.
12 months later, I look back with immense gratitude.
We’ve had the privilege of partnering with incredible organisations across multiple sectors, helping businesses align people, performance, and purpose through practical and measurable solutions.
This journey has taught me many things.
That simplicity often outperforms complexity.
That growth is rarely linear.
And that leadership is less about having all the answers and more about consistently choosing the path forward, even when the outcome is uncertain.
Ironically, raising children may have prepared me more for entrepreneurship than corporate life ever did. Different generations, different expectations, constant negotiation, and learning that people thrive when they feel understood.
To our incredible HR team, thank you. Your dedication, precision, resilience, and commitment to excellence continue to shape everything we do. None of this happens without you.
To former colleagues, mentors, and the remarkable network we’ve built over the years, thank you for helping shape the foundation we stand on today.
And to our clients, thank you for trusting us with your most valuable asset: your people.
