Psychological safety isn’t just a buzzword — it’s the foundation that lets people speak up, innovate, and truly connect. When it’s present, creativity flows and teams thrive.
We discussed how even small, everyday interactions act as “social nutrients” that boost our well-being (as Lean Spencer beautifully put it).
Then we did a quick reflection: Think of a time this week when someone made you feel safe enough to speak up. What did they do or say that created that safety?
A simple, practical tool we shared is the Three A’s:
* Acknowledge – Recognize the person and what they shared (shows you’re really listening)
* Appreciate – Express genuine gratitude or value for their input
* Act – Respond in a way that shows you’ve heard and are moving forward
The challenge? Pick just one of the Three A’s this week and try it in your daily interactions. Notice the difference it makes.
