# Vacancy: Test Automation Technician - Helderberg region- Hybrid role:
Responsible for developing automated test scripts and manage the activities surrounding automated testing.
In this role you will be responsible for writing, reviewing and maintaining automated test scripts and managing test cases. You will be required to work with little supervision and will be challenged with continually improving the Automation Process and Standards.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
• Test planning and test case automation.
• Plan and create all master data required for automated test scripts.
• Create and execute automated test plans on demand.
• Manage automated script storage and versioning.
• Analyse project documentation to build an understanding of the business and technical requirements of systems to be tested. These typically include business requirements, functional specifications, process/data flow diagrams and use cases
Minimum Requirements:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information technology.
• 3 years tester experience.
• 1 years’ experience in automated tools and testing.
• 1 years test analyst experience.
• 1 years’ experience within SDLC, in particular test lifecycle experience from test design to test ex*****on and reporting.
Skills and Knowledge requirements:
• Proven participation in the whole testing lifecycle, from test design to final delivery, for an enterprise scale software system.
• Familiarity with UML modeling tools, such as Sparx Enterprise Architect.
• Experienced in the use of scripting language, such as Groovy, Scala or Javascript.
• Experienced in the use of test management software, such as Test Link or Quality Center.
• Experience with test automation tools, such as Git, Selenium web driver.
• Experienced in the use of Bug life-cycle management software, such as Jira ot Quality Center.

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner, to become the owner and expert for a defined set of solutions built on the X platform. You will work with our in-house solution teams to deliver customer focussed solutions, using our innovative and industry leading products. At X the Product Owner acts as the proxy Product Owner for the Scrum team, on behalf of and in conjunction with the customer.

PRODUCT OWNER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Create, own, and execute against a 90-day solution roadmap tied to the long-term vision and strategy of X
Become the subject matter expert for your defined set of solution features with hands on knowledge of the intricacies of the solution with the ability to present functionality and clearly articulate functionality to internal and external stakeholders.
Accurately define the requirements for key roadmap activities, proving you have a ruthless understanding of prioritisation for value.
Question, understand and challenge the solution team, articulating both technical and business understanding to users.
Act as the lead solution demonstrator and where appropriate interface with prospect, customer, and client engagement
Articulate relevant Epics, Features, user stories, scenarios, customer journeys and wire frames, if necessary, for the developers to understand the goal of each prioritised item.
Lead Sprint planning and maintain the solution backlog based on the team’s roadmap and priorities.
Acts as a facilitator between the solution team and any third parties concerning solution functionality.
Maintain solution documentation / catalogue of features and changed.
Provides walk-throughs as part of user acceptance, to both delivery and clients, and ensures documentation is updated.

What an exciting opportunity

This role is in Panama at a fishing/boating resort.

We require a qualified diesel mechanic who has worked on penta volvo motors on boats ($2500)
You also get accommodation and food, residency will be arranged by the company. Flight provided from SA.

We prefer a single person but if you partner is happy to waitress at our resort restaurant and help in the village school as a teacher assist, this could work.

No children can be accommodated.

This contract is for a minimum of a year and will possibly be extended.

We want 8-10 years minimum diesel mechanic experience. You will have worked on boat diesel engines for at least 4 years and electronic motors (Volvo Penta would be good) & generators and trucks.

My client is a Java house and their tech stack is Java 8, Hibernate, SQL, Spring 4 (Batch, JPA, Security), AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, REST and JSON, micro services, Jenkins and Maven. Salary Market Related. Officers based in the Cape Winelands , Stellenbosch area.

Purpose:
To develop functionality for a JEE (J2EE) based product. The backend is a service oriented Spring based application. It provides a service layer for different user channels ranging from web, rich clients and batch users integrating via JMS and web services. The work contains a portion of support and refactoring of existing code as well as new development (extend it for new functionality) and add extra integration points.

Support existing and develop new functionality and components.
Understand existing product and domain elements and work with business analysts to refine and implement new requirements.
Refactor and improve the code to keep the product maintainable and adaptable to new requirements.
Evaluate and improve application performance, and high availability features.
Create unit and integrated system tests to show that the developed functionality works as intended.
Create technical documentation that explains how the various components of the system work and how to use them.
Do root cause analysis on bugs to find and fix the cause of a problem in an integrated system.
Build and deploy the system on an application server.
Create and execute functional test scenarios (dev testing).
Work effectively in a team environment, actively collaborating to improve software development processes and standards.
