Today we’re celebrating James Lindsay and an incredible 10 years at SOLIDitech!
Currently our Test Automation Lead, James is one of those people whose impact is felt in so many different ways. He’s knowledgeable, approachable, generous with his time and always willing to jump in and help. Whether he’s guiding QAs on mabl, sharing pointers with the team, or leading training sessions with his easy-going and fluid communication style, James has a real gift for making knowledge feel accessible and useful.
That passion for teaching and sharing what he knows is a huge part of what makes James so valued. He’s a natural mentor, a keen teacher and someone who genuinely wants the people around him to grow. He’s not afraid to voice his opinion, stand his ground when challenged and push conversations forward — all of which makes him an important voice in the team.
And the learning definitely hasn’t stopped. James recently added ISTQB Certification Advanced Level Test Automation Engineering to his growing list of achievements, which says a lot about his continued commitment to sharpening his craft and staying at the top of his game. It’s also no surprise that he was recognised with the Knowledge Ninja Award at the 2024 staff awards - a very fitting title for someone so passionate about learning, teaching and helping others level up.
Outside of the day job, James has also brought plenty of fun to SOLID life over the years - including organising many a table tennis tournament and building a bit of a reputation for himself with a paddle in hand. 🏓
It’s also very cool that James and his sister Nadine both ended up at SOLID - with Nadine describing him as the “best career referral ever.” That kind of says it all: James is the sort of person people trust, admire, and are happy to follow.
James, thank you for 10 years of knowledge-sharing, support, passion, and solid contribution. You’re an awesome part of SOLID, and we’re proud to celebrate this milestone with you. Here’s to everything still to come! 🙌
