Meet Dr. Adelina Mbinjama who is one of the guest speakers at our webinar tomorrow.
Adelina Mbinjama is a Lecturer in the CPUT Media Department at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). Her teaching and research interests are in digital media, cyber-ethics, black feminism, and representation of women in the media.
She is a current recipient of the National Research Foundation’s Thuthuka grant for her work on cyber-ethics among digital media marketers and is a former recipient of the Trent Lott Leadership Scholarship which enabled her in Addressing SA’s Truth Reconciliation Commission in SA, USA & UK.
In her private capacity, she’s the managing director of AMG Media Consulting. She serves on Advisory Boards for NGOs Bophelo Digital Hub and In-Kind SA. She is Chairperson of the Western Cape’s Southern African Freelancers’ Association (SAFREA) and is a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner under the professional body, Public Relations Institute Of Southern Africa.
