We are currently raising funds for Honey's Garden as part of our Christmas campaign.

Honey's Garden is a registered nonprofit organisation whose mission is to place quality service dogs with people within South Africa who are underprivileged, fighting with disabilities or diseases, and veterans who have lost use of limbs or hearing. This amazing organisation also helps with animal rescue, and educates the public regarding use of service dogs in public places.

DID YOU KNOW?

A medical alert dog is trained to assist individuals living with a chronic condition or medical disability. These dogs usually "alert" their handlers to conditions prior to their occurrence. For example, a diabetes alert dog is able to help the person detect significant changes in blood sugar levels and treat them as early as possible.

We are helping the NPO Honey's Garden for Medical Alert Dogs raise funds for these intelligent and beautiful animals.

"Woof, I am Havana, a greyhound in training to help people with diabetes (type 1) notice and thus treat especially low blood sugar levels as early as possible."

Havana is currently being fostered by MSS colleague, Laura, and trained by Honey’s Garden - the first NGO in South Africa to train medical service dogs. In the spirit of giving, we are running a charity campaign to support dogs such as Havana on their journey to help humans.

We are looking for: Freelance transcriptionists (project-based, full-time, part-time, flexible hours) for a current transcription project Danish>English.

Your profile:
• You have time to spare NOW until mid/end September and would like to earn some extra money?
• You are fully bilingual in Danish and English?
• You have at least 5-6 hours per week to work on this project and you like to work from home with your own PC/laptop?
• You are quick with typing and have good listening skills or you have done transcriptions for university etc. before?
• You do not need to be a translator or professional transcriptionist; we simply need reliable bilingual people that enjoy language and are good with typing.

About this project:
We are looking for direct Danish into English transcriptionists or native English or Danish speakers with good language skills in both languages, to help us with this transcription project about animal welfare. You will receive audio files in Danish and these should be listened to and written up directly into English.
