Fascinating webinar hosted by BSR (Business for Social Responsibility) with Jeremy Prepscius, Lea Esterhuizen, Stefano Zenobi and Phil Bennett, talking about the past, present and future of and , through the lens of

Lea Esterhuizen - In 10 years, a lot of corporate value chains will be governed by algorithms and AI. But we need to ensure that we focus the tech and data opportunity on building good verified insight, rather than leaving the insight and response all to algorithms and AI. Tech and data need to serve these human collaborations and not replace them.

Phil Bennett reminded us that regardless of all the tech and data, communities needed to be wired into the process of benefiting and responding to the data and insight.

Stefano Zenobi - reminded us that currently, with existing tech we have better insight on environmental impact, but we have no visibility below the tree canopy. So again, we were reminded that partnerships with local communities will have to remain central to drive sustainability programming.

Thank you Jeremy Prepscius for facilitating! Very insightful perspectives.

👂🏽 Why does your organisation want to listen to workers?
👂🏽 What opportunities does listening to workers offer your organization, and what challenges might it raise?
👂🏽 How is your organization prepared to respond to the feedback from workers, even if you are not their direct employer?

Read our latest blog on the importance of aligning the intent of listening to workers, with the workers themselves

Remember that social issues within supply chains are often complex and multi-faceted. It is vital to consider who will be accountable for responding to the workers and what systems are in place to ensure a calibrated response is possible.
