The best way to approach a job search situation is not to start by telling a potential employer that you are looking for any job. That way you are talking to your unemployment or poverty issues and are simply saying you are in desperate need of money. You are not creating enough thinking points for the employer to consider and feel compelled to answer or ask for clarity from you, allowing the two of you to have a conversation. Also you are not showing courage to invite and answer difficult questions about yourself.
You need to talk to the employer's business imperatives or profitability issues and say I have done some research on your business for a while. Based on the research and the skills and capabilities I have, I think I can add value to your business by doing that or improving that other one. I am available to present my detailed plan with numbers, if necessary. If the word research is a big term or it sounds too academic, you can use the word study or even the word check. The secret is to have stubborn confidence in your solid story and get the employer to want to hear it and not just dismiss you by telling you there is no job.
It's like proposing to a girl or woman that you believe you deserve and have what it to takes to be her partner. Even if your family is rich, she might be someone who is interested in things beyond visible richness. More human factors such character, intelligence, integrity, etc. might mean a lot to her. If you go in there and say I love you, she might never speak to to you again. But if you create a space to display your genius and drop your silent bombs strategically as you move along, chances are that the kingly crown might be yours. Good luck family. MoAcCity
