INVITATION - MOMENTUM YOUTH DIALOGUES 😊

The Momentum Youth Dialogues held in partnership with the Green Youth Network is a platform that allows Young people to speak on the current challenges they are facing as young people thus playing a huge on their socio-economic activities.

These dialogues aim to understand young people’s general outlook on Entrepreneurship, Skills Development, Unemployment, Poverty, Job creation, Technology Ideation and Mental.

Objectives:

• Ensuring youth bring solutions to their current socio-economic issues.
• Understanding challenges faced by youth and their psychosocial needs for wellness.
• Understand what success means to the youth.
• Expose young people to different opportunities
• Provide youth development support
• Upskill and reskill young people
• Create a sustainable living amongst youth
• Encourage municipal and/or government participation to understand youth challenges and
obtaining relevant solutions

The Momentum Youth Dialogues Pillars of Discussion:

• Youth Focused programmes from local Municipality
• Skills and up-skilling opportunities from SETAs
• Entrepreneurship (Support and opportunities for youth owned businesses)
• Youth Mental Wellness, challenges, trends and where to seek help. (Therapists & seeking
Counseling)
• Job Searching and preparing for interviews
• The digital space and social media
• Substance/alcohol abuse among youth
• Ending GBV (How can young people play a role)

The First Dialogue Will Be Held At The Orbit TVET College, Rustenberg This Thursday 22nd Of June.
