Helen brings nearly three decades of experience in clinical engineering, healthcare technology, and hospital development. A Clinical Engineer by profession, she holds a Master’s degree and is an ISO 13485 Lead Auditor for medical device quality management systems.

Currently a doctoral candidate focused on optimising clinical engineering for sustainable healthcare in South Africa, Helen’s career spans:
✔️ A decade in the private hospital sector, concluding as Regional Technical Manager at Netcare
✔️ Co-owner and Director of REAF Consulting
✔️ Academic contributions at UNISA and TUT
✔️ 26 years of active involvement in CEASA, now serving as elected President of the National Council
