Hi all! Leewenkuil 2013 Shiraz scored a whopping 92 points during a decanter tasting recently. The beauty of this Swartland Shiraz is that it retails for R45 per bottle. Makro is selling it this month on special for R30!!! This is most probably the best buy of the century :)

The acclaimed SA Platter's Wine Guide 2015 was launched last week. This year, the 5-star rating was awarded to 50 wines and one brandy. Sadie Family Wines (Swartland) was named Winery of the Year with three wines receiving 5 star ratings. Red Wine of the Year went to De Trafford Blueprint Syrah 2012 while De Morgenzon Reserve Chardonnay 2013 received the title of White Wine of the Year.
