HOT TAKE: Your Business Doesn’t Always Need More Customers
We have become obsessed with getting more customers, More Social Media followers, More views, More foot traffic and mostly More leads.
But here is the uncomfortable truth:
Your business does not always need more customers. Sometimes, it needs a better strategy for converting the customers already passing through your door.
Take a moment to think about it.
A tourism destination can attract thousands of visitors, yet local businesses may still struggle to benefit from that traffic. A restaurant can have people walking past every day but remain quiet. A guesthouse can be located next to a popular attraction but have empty rooms.
So, where is the problem? because it sure cannot be placed on visibility. But definitely a lack of a strategy to capture value.
A customer who buys one product could potentially buy another. A visitor who comes for one experience could discover another. A guest who stays for one night could be encouraged to stay for two. One business's customer could become another business's customer through the right partnership.
This is where we need to change the way we think about business growth.
Instead of asking:
“How do I get more customers?”
Perhaps we should also be asking:
“Where do I get the best help to move forward?”
Growth is about becoming better at serving the people who have already found you.
