FUEL PRICE DEREGULATION -

Mineral resources and energy minister Gwede Mantashe has issued a notice in the government gazette to notify us of his intention to cap the price of 93 Octane petrol.

PROVIDENT FUND RULES😎 -

According to Clause 2 of the Motor Industry Provident Agreement 43529 of July 2020 R794, all employees who have been in the employ of an employer who belongs to the motor industry for 6 months, must be joined to the MIBCO provident fund.

FRAUD AT FUEL STATIONS!!
One of our fuel station clients in CPT in the southern suburbs has brought to our attention a case of fraud committed at their site. A "customer" filled up their tank and attempted to pay with a cloned fleet card that looked like a regular debit card. Once the card was inserted in the speedpoint machine it became clear that this was not a debit card and instead a fleet card. Please circulate to make other site operators aware of this syndicate! THIS PAST SUNDAY IN CAPE TOWN
This past Sunday, I tried a new coffee shop in Observatory Cape Town (I won't mention their name because it might be considered bad advertising or should I ?).

So I ordered my americano and sat down to reflect on my the last year of my life since my birthday had just passed. I was halfway into my coffee when all of a sudden from behind me all kinds of chaos started to erupt, people were shouting, some running and I heard doors banging. In the 30 or so seconds it took me to get up from the couch I was laying on and turn around two laptops had been forcefully taken from two customers who were working there (at gunpoint) and the criminals were making their escape. I caught a glimpse of one of them, he was a young black well dressed guy who in another life could have been someone else, hell it could even have been me!

So after a few days thought I have decided to write this. Nobody would choose crime as the optimal means of enrichment out of all the possible alternatives that exist in the world, especially not at a time when there is more wealth available than at any other point in history (unverified opinion). The only reasons why they would do so are a lack of self belief in their ability to make something of their lives or as is more often the case, a general ignorance of all the amazing opportunities that exist.
So in an attempt to address the ignorance I am going to share 3 reasons why entrepreneurship is an awesome alternative to unemployment or crime.
1 You do NOT need lot's of money to start a business. This is an unpopular opinion that just so happens to be true. To develop an idea and test it (While sustaining yourself with its income) for whether or not it is a scalable business does not require millions of Rands. What it requires are innovation, resourcefulness and creative thinking, which if you do not possess will make you less employable anyway. The good news is these are learnable skills.
2 FREE RESOURCES! Do you know how many YouTube videos there are of how to learn how to code and become a software developer ? Have you seen the millions of videos about how to learn how to sell? These are two skills that if you mastered you would never be unemployed again! So why not go to YouTube and get your unofficial coding degree ?
