production facility. This, combined with our state-of-the-art thermoforming and extrusion machines, enables us to integrate design, pattern, tool making and production all on one site and offer some of the most competitive new tooling costs in the industry. As a plastic packaging manufacturer, we develop food grade packaging solutions mainly in rPET , Polypropylene and High impact polystyrene- all our materials contain at least 50% post-consumer recycled waste and at least 30% industry recycled waste. More recently we have been able to offer 100% rPET solutions! All Our thermoform films are manufactured in-house using the latest extrusion machinery and technology. We can also provide Breakdown-PET - a revolutionary biodegradable rPET that decomposes in a few years rather than centuries! Waxpak designs and manufactures plastic packaging predominantly for the food industry but can also make plastic packaging for other industries, including the automotive and horticultural industries and many other non-food sectors. In each of these markets, we make and design bespoke trays that can be heat sealed, stretched or flow wrapped. We offer hinged packs with and without recessed cavities to hold eating utensils and all types of lids and bases. With a reputation for stringent quality to exacting standards, we hold A BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials.

The Day of Reconciliation is a public holiday in held annually on 16 December.
The holiday came into effect in 1995 after the end of apartheid, with the intention of fostering and for the country. The date was chosen because it was significant to both Afrikaner and black African cultures. The government chose a meaningful date for both ethnic groups because they recognised the need for racial harmony. The of the Day of Reconciliation can take the form of remembering past history, recognising veteran's contributions, marching, and other festivities.

The origins of the celebration for the Afrikaners goes back to the ‘Day of the Vow’, celebrated in commemoration of the Voortrekker victory over the Zulus at the Battle of Blood River on 16 December 1838. For African people, the date has been significant as one of both peaceful protests against racial injustice and of the founding of the more militant Umkhonto we Sizwe by the African National Congress (ANC) on 16 December 1961. Nelson Mandela and the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission chose a day that was special to both ethnic groups in the country in order to work on healing the damage done by apartheid.

2021 Theme: “Better Relations Between Men and Women.”

On November 19 International Men’s Day celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities, and an opportunity for people everywhere of goodwill to appreciate and celebrate the men in their lives and the contribution they make to society for the greater good of all. However, the day is not only a celebration of the positive role of men in society but also an attempt to promote gender equality.

International Men’s Day encourages men to teach the boys in their lives the values, character and responsibilities of being a man. Mahatma Gandhi said, “We must become the change we seek.” It is only when we all, both men and women, lead by example that we will create a fair and safe society which allows everyone the opportunity to prosper.

"The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good." - Samuel Johnson

We are showing our appreciation to all the Honourable Men we have on staff and salute you for putting your families above your own self and for working hard.

Heritage Day celebrates and recognises the diverse cultures that make up South Africa. South African heritage encompasses aspects such as language, history, expression, food, wildlife and land. The day is also aimed at recognising the living heritage of South Africa as a foundation for communities and a source of identity and continuity.

The most quintessential South African way to celebrate our diversity, is to come together, around a braai 🙂

Millions of people from more than 180 countries are celebrating . It’s a global initiative and everyone, including , is invited to participate.

According to the World Cleanup Day website, last year’s campaign saw more than 11 million people from 166 countries gather at beaches, along rivers, on the streets and in forests to help clean up the world.

The site says the idea for the originated in Estonia in 2008, when 50,000 people came together to clean up the entire country in five hours. This led to the initiative spreading to other parts of the world.

Camilo Ramada, leader of World Cleanup Day in South Africa, says “It is estimated that there are 200 million tons of trash in the oceans, and that by 2040 this will increase to 600 million tons,”.

“Everyone can organise a or join a ! You can pick up litter in your street, in your neighbourhood, in your city. Or you can look for a park, river or beach where you can clean up,” he says.

People who are interested in registering their cleanup or joining an existing one can visit https://www.worldcleanupday.org/country/south-africa

“So as active citizens in a way with which you are comfortable, come out and have a fun day working with us and feel good about seeing the change. Or support organisations like ours financially and encourage your friends to do so as well… help educate your friends and family about waste and walk the talk by starting in your own home by choosing not to buy goods in packaging or ensuring that you recycle what you do buy – this action is a lot more sustainable in the fight against waste in the long term.”
