Some independent schools had already started with teaching and learning last week when the Department of Basic Education announced that schools would only reopen in mid-February.

I will be your homeschool mom. Ages 9-12. We operate from Chartwell in Fourways. We change lives through nurturing care, encouragement and personal, hands-on development, in a small, caring home environment,through an experienced, patient and passionate homeschooling mom. “I have been there, I have done that and I know what works.” These are the words from Anthea Wantenaar, who has successfully brought her two girls and others into an international Cambridge education, with time to excel in other passions like music development, violin, voice acting, voice training, and other extramural activities.
The annual budget includes:
Hands-on Tuition
Science Laboratory experiments.
Baking and cooking.
Art and Craft development
Music development
Academics - Math, Science and reading - If the child can love to read the child will excel in almost any academic field.
Most importantly - Minimal homework. Work gets done in school time so that the child can have more family time - an important anchor in the social development of the child.

2) Math and numbers as well as Science lab

4) Baking and sewing
5) Music - piano, violin, ukelele, singing
6) Have time for other extramural activities without compromising the basics.

2) Boy or girl - challenged in learning in particular maths and reading and you need Advanced Nurturing Tuition. (ANT)
3) You want to develop a special talent like music and you need extra time to practice and nurture your talent.
4) Able to access our home school in Broadacres - Mondays to Fridays from 9-12. Fridays are Art and Craft days.
