Right… Winter has arrived, and there is no more pretending otherwise.

At home lately, the Cederberg Merlot-Shiraz has been opened more often than not. It is smooth, generous and just the kind of red that makes a cold evening feel a little more spectacular.

Grown up here at 1 036 metres above sea level, where winter brings snow-capped mountains and cold conditions, this wine carries that Cederberg freshness beautifully. The Merlot brings plush dark fruit, the Shiraz adds spice, and after 12 months in French oak, it all comes together in a polished but unpretentious glass.

Not really a “special occasion” wine. Sometimes, just opening the bottle becomes the occasion.

The Harvest Festival at Lievita was a spectacular day.

Good people, plenty of laughs, a few proper glasses of wine, and the kind of conversations that remind us why we enjoy sharing this journey so much.

It is always special to catch up again, pour a glass together, and share a little more of the work, the stories, and the wines from our side.
