It's Monday morning.
You are sitting at work... procrastinating... you make the huge mistake of looking at you bank account...

And wham depression strikes. The awful dull feeling in the pit of your stomach returns.

It's only the 5th of the month and you are broke. Your hard earned salary has come in and is already gone.

Gone on what? Nothing exciting. Nothing elaborate or self indulgent.
Just the basics. A tank of petrol. School fees. A few bags of groceries, which won't even last the month. That's it! No luxuries. Just the bare minimum.

What about date night tomorrow with your partner? Not enough cash, so better cancel that. The outstanding bills... let's not even go there. It's goes on...

Feeling crushed you swipe and close the bank app. It's better to mindlessly scroll on Facebook.

Doors (to life) open and close all the time.

Sometimes they take ages to open, and it takes time to reveal the secret behind the door.
Some doors slam shut! As frustrating as it is, it is good, because this helps us avoid the wrong road.
Sometimes they close gently behind as, as we move on down the next path, onto a new adventure.

And sometimes a magical door appears out of nowhere. 🪄💫✨🌟

Unpredicted and unplanned. Who knows what lies on the other side, other than a promise of something new and exciting?

Such a door, opened for us last week. We were hesitant to open it, as we do not want to be distracted and taken off our path, which has a very specific destination. (goal).

So we gently peeked in… there was definitely a buzz beyond the door. An excitement. A promise of a great adventure, or as most would say, a business opportunity.
An new adventure for us Mad Mullers!

We have opened strange doors before, and the opportunities have not suited us. We simply closed it and moved on.

But this surprising door, is leading us down a path, that ticks all our boxes.

BY AGE 40 YOU SHOULD BE SMART ENOUGH TO REALIZE THIS:

1. Someone makes 10x more than you do in a 9-5 job because they have more "leverage" with their work.

2. Distraction is the greatest killer of success. It stunts and destroys your brain.

3. You shouldn't take advice from people who are not where you want to be in life.

4. No one is coming to save your problems. Your life's 100% your responsibility.

5. You don't need 100 self-help books, all you need is action and self discipline.

6. Unless you went to college to learn a specific skill (ie. doctor, engineer, lawyer), you can make more money in the next 90 days just learning sales.

7. No one cares about you. So stop being shy, go out and create your chances.

8. If you find someone smarter than you, work with them, don't compete.

9. Smoking has 0 benefit in your life. This habit will only slow your thinking and lower your focus.

10. Comfort is the worst addiction and cheap ticket to depression.

11. Don't tell people more than they need to know, respect your privacy.

12. Avoid alcohol at all cost. Nothing worse than losing your senses and acting a fool.

13. Keep your standards high and don't settle for something because it's available.

14. The family you create is more important than the family you come from.

15. Train yourself to take nothing personally to save yourself from 99.99% of mental problems.

16. If you don't separate yourself from distractions, your distractions, will separate you from your GOALS.

I was sitting chatting to a friend this weekend, over a lovely cup of coffee.

We got chatting about his business. (as I do…) 💕

I was able to give him some valuable insights, as I have a way to look at businesses and come up with alternative solutions.

He was very chuffed with how I helped him in such a short time.

This is easy for me, as I have been doing it since I was 19!
So yes for many many years! 🤫🤩And its my passion!

I just love entrepreneurship – talking about it, thinking about it, and of course doing it.

As an outsider it is always easier to see where the problem is, within the business. I am not attached emotionally. I do not have the same narrative going through my head. I do not have the same limiting beliefs that the owner does. My ideas are not confined to the skills the owner does or does not have. (these can be learnt or outsourced)
.. Just clarity and a vision 😎 on how to make it better.

I look at it from an unbiased perspective and am able to come up with an out of the box solutions to what ever the problem is.

This conversation reminded me, just how much I love business coaching and that I want to do it again.

Every time I enter a business, whether it is a restaurant, guesthouse or shop, I automatically analyse it, and identify where the weakness is and where the potential lies. I fix it in my head, while enjoying my cuppa. Its just the way my brain works…. Fortunately for the owners, I have learnt not to give my unsolicited advice.

So this post is to say, if you DO want my advise, if you would like me to look at your business and help you solve what ever problem you are experiencing right now, I would love to help you out, within the framework of my 1 on 1 coaching service.
