First off we would like to thank you for visiting us and finding out what the Phat Hippo is all about. So with out further adieu lets tell you about who we are and how we started.
Long long time ago…sorry wrong story. The Phat Hippo Team is a family run company. We aim to help the everyday busy moms, dads, uncles, aunts, grannies etc in our community by supplying well balanced Phat packed lunches to all your little hippos. The sad truth is that obesity in this country, and the rest of the world, is a major concern to everyone. Growing up, some of us lived from hand to mouth and ate what was given to us. Majority of the time it wasn’t all that healthy. Even now as adults, we battle keep a balanced eating habits due time constraints with work and busy social schedules. The idea came about when chatting to friends with toddlers about their busy schedules. They mentioned how expensive and time consuming it is to feed their children a well balanced lunch. This was made even more chaotic by having to go to the shops daily for fresh produce, which ideally went to waste. Within seconds Phat Hippo emerged, a company bent on helping working parents of our community.
We hope to see our business as more of a family than as a business and in saying that we would like to give back to our community as well. Once the Phat Hippo becomes a pillar of the community we hope to feed a few less fortunate children in our schools. We can not do this without your help and if you ever know of any families that are struggling, please do not hesitate to contact us so we as a community can help feed other little less fortunate hippos.
We also have future plans of taking this one step further but with every mammal a hippo also takes baby steps :)
