Excellerate Security officers are PSIRA-registered, supported by 24-hour control rooms, and overseen by Key Account Managers who visit sites regularly.

Three questions we hear all the time about security. Here are honest answers.

"If we already have cameras, do we still need officers?"
Cameras see. Officers act. The strongest sites have both.

"How many guards does a site actually need?"
It depends on the site, not just the size. Access points, operating hours, movement patterns, risk level. A good plan reflects how the space actually works.

"What makes a security presence actually effective?"
Consistency. Officers who know their environment. Teams that stay alert when it is quiet, not just when something happens.

Today is Workers’ Day – a day that belongs to you.

It’s a moment to recognise the dignity of work – and in our case, the critical role that security plays in keeping people, property, and businesses safe. Every day, you stand on the front line. You are the first to arrive, the last to leave, and the constant presence that others rely on but often don’t see.

Across South Africa, workers are being honoured – and here at Excellerate, we want you to know: we see you, we value you, and we are proud to have you on our team.

Many of you are on duty today – protecting sites, preventing risk, responding to incidents, and maintaining order while others are at home. Security is not just a job – it is a responsibility. It demands vigilance, discipline, and integrity. What you do matters, every hour of every shift.

As a company, we remain committed to doing things the right way - paying correctly, applying rules fairly, and ensuring that today, as a public holiday, is recognised and paid in full as it should be.

South Africa was built on the strength of its workers. And every day, Excellerate security officers play a vital role in keeping businesses running, communities functioning, and people safe. That is something to be proud of.

So today, we say thank you – not just for today, but for every shift, every post, every patrol, and every moment you choose to stay alert and give your best.
