At , our goal has always been to identify opportunities where we can partner with like-minded organisations to create a sustainable and widespread impact across our communities🤝🌿
In 2020, the SAB Foundation approached us to assist in conducting a feasibility study in Jozini; an area once rich with life and over 3000 smallholder farmers - to ascertain the potential of igniting the cotton industry once again🧶💥
Following thorough testing, we came to the conclusion that cotton is the best crop to grow due to the climate and dry land, and that all the right foundations were in place, including over 2 000 hectares available to plant and a secure market for all cotton produced🌞🌳
Through the vision of the SAB Foundation, they immediately appointed us as their Implementation Partner, in partnership with local stakeholders, and CottonSA, to fund a project that would provide the foundation upon which to rebuild this valuable industry; saving jobs and creating new employment opportunities, empowering the community members with new skills and knowledge, and creating the ability for the market to source locally🇿🇦🌟
Having finished the 2022 season on a high, the results are phenomenal, and showcase the impact that this project has had on the industry and more specifically this region📈📊
Our goal has always been to identify opportunities where we can partner with like-minded organisations to create a sustainable and widespread impact across our communities, and with this project, we have done just that🇿🇦🌍
A big thank you to the SAB Foundation
