On 21 October 2026 at approximately 13h35, 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 responded to a call for assistance at a 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in Mount Edgecombe following allegations of attempted forced sexual activity.

According to initial reports, a woman alleged that a man known to her had attempted to force her into a sexual encounter.

An Ensure Security Tactical Response Officer apprehended the male suspect while sustaining an injury in the process. The authorities and emergency medical services were called to the scene. 𝗦𝗔𝗣𝗦 attended, and both the suspect and injured officer were transported to hospital by ambulance. The woman declined medical treatment.

Subsequent updates revealed that the woman later retracted her initial statement, explaining that both parties had been using narcotics and that the suspect’s behavior escalated during an intimate encounter. She confirmed she had not been assaulted and declined further medical or investigative intervention.

As a result, 𝗦𝗔𝗣𝗦 released the suspect, though efforts were made to impound the vehicle involved due to licensing irregularities.

𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 – 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻

On 20 October 2026 at approximately 20h15, whilst conducting off-site camera monitoring virtual patrols, 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 Command Centre observed an individual entering a truck parked outside a client’s property.

Our Tactical Response Teams were dispatched to the scene, where the individual was found inside the truck allegedly attempting to steal the vehicle’s radio. The suspect was immediately detained and the police were contacted.

SAPS arrived shortly thereafter. The suspect was handed over for processing and further investigation.

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗠𝗪 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗕𝗗

On 19 October 2026 at approximately 09h37, 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 Tactical Response Team was alerted to a stolen grey BMW parked outside The Solrand Hotel on 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁, Durban C*D. The vehicle had reportedly been stolen in Pretoria and belonged to a financial institution.

The team immediately contacted the 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 Control Room to request SAPS assistance. After a delay in SAPS attendance, Metro Police responded to the scene.

A person associated with the vehicle subsequently arrived and was escorted by Metro Police, together with the vehicle, to 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗔𝗣𝗦 for further investigation. The matter was handed over to Metro Police.

𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 – 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵, 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻

On 19 October 2026 at approximately 04h15, 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 Tactical Response Team discovered a man lying on the pavement at 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁, heavily bleeding from a stabbing wound.

Preliminary information suggested the victim was a 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 who had been involved in a fight that led to the stabbing.

The team immediately informed the 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 Control Room, requesting emergency assistance. Government ambulance services were notified, and 𝗦𝗔𝗣𝗦 was contacted. At approximately 05h00, emergency services arrived on site. Despite their efforts, the man was declared deceased shortly thereafter.

The suspect was later located hiding at 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗱𝗴𝗲 and taken into custody for further investigation.

The scene was secured and formally handed over to 𝗦𝗔𝗣𝗦 for further investigations.

On 8 October 2026 at approximately 09h35, 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 Tactical Response Team, while patrolling 𝗝𝗼𝗲 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁, encountered a collision involving a 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘆𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮.

The team discovered a male pedestrian who had sustained a 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝘆. According to a witness, the pedestrian had been crossing the road while the traffic light was green for vehicles, when he was struck by the car.

Details of the driver were obtained, and the injured pedestrian was assisted. The driver transported the patient to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

On 7 October 2026 at approximately 15h45, a customer reported losing 𝗥𝟱𝟬𝟬 in cash in the 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 of a local Hillcrest shopping centre.

The customer contacted 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 after realizing the money had been misplaced. The matter was escalated to 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, who immediately initiated a 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄.

Footage confirmed that the cash had been dropped after the customer exited the parking area. A trolley porter passing through the area noticed the folded notes and picked them up. The porter was traced and contacted by security before handing over the money without dispute.

The recovered amount of 𝗥𝟱𝟬𝟬 (𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀) was secured by Ensure Security before being handed over to its rightful owner.

On 19 September 2026 at 23h54, at 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲, 𝗛𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶 near Hlalanathi Tavern, the complainant reported that her boyfriend was stabbed multiple times and kidnapped along with his vehicle, a 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗛𝘆𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗶 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘇 (𝗥𝗲𝗴 𝗡𝗼: DH###xZN). Her cellphone and R1500 cash were also taken.

A case was registered at 𝗦𝗔𝗣𝗦 𝗞𝘄𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗸𝘂𝘇𝗮 as 𝗖𝗔𝗦 ###/09/2026 – 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴.

On 8 September 2026, a female passenger reached out for help after becoming concerned about her travel arrangements. She shared her live location with family and friends and explained the situation. The information was relayed to 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, prompting immediate response.

The passenger had accepted a lift but grew uneasy when the journey diverted from the agreed route. Her quick decision to alert relatives and community contacts ensured that her safety was prioritized.

Members of the 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 Tactical Response Team tracked her down to 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗮’𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱, where she was safely reunited with her family. The passenger confirmed she had not been harmed and declined SAPS involvement.

On 18 August 2026 at approximately 07h15, 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 responded to multiple reports of a school child struck by a vehicle on 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱, Overport. Personnel at the 𝗘𝟮 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 had already notified 𝗞𝗭𝗡 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗘𝗠𝗦).

On arrival, members found a female high school student lying face down and unresponsive.

Shortly thereafter, 𝗘𝗥𝟮𝟰 paramedics arrived on scene and immediately began treating the injured scholar. 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 & 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲 together with 𝗞𝗭𝗡 𝗘𝗠𝗦 also attended, providing additional support and coordination. The scholar was treated and stabilized on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
