SOCIAL MEDIA HAS REPLACED THE VOICE OF GOD.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:27-28
THIS MIGHT BE LONG JUST BEAR WITH ME....
I never thought how dangerous social media can be to me hearing the voice of God, only when i decided to go off the social networks WhatsApp been the main one i realized how it had an effect on my life, while i love these platforms for ministry i realized that i weren't strong like everyone else who could discipline they time spent and usage.
I was going through the worse moments in my life and social media was feeding me with junk, i made bad decisions because i was been fed by social media, Some reels on tiktok, Instagram reels that fed my narrative and made me feel justified in my problem but without giving me a solution. Only when i went off i could hear the voice of God clearly and some things i was trying to overcome i overcame just by not been on social media.
If i were to ask a question how many of us read our bible today, not for the daily reading but took time out and read the answer will be a few, but how many of us have been on social media from the morning many of us have been.
So who is ministering to you in the morning? who is speaking to you and guiding your decisions, who is leading you into truth, the reels, short clips, Facebook and social media is so smart they work on algorithms so you can react on something Facebook will use that to feed you with information on what you reacted to, so if you have relationship problem Facebook will feed you with quotes, reels, messages that you think is helping you but is also steering you in the wrong direction. Social media shapes how you see men, women and life without you knowing.
should we be steered/Led by social media? Absolutely not i now get sick in my stomach when i see these posts! and i see girls talk bad about men and men talk bad about girls and i see how social media has destroyed marriages because thats where people get advice from and their friends who were never married or who are divorced.
Should the word of God lead us? Absolutely if you are believer the voice of God is what you must look for, the voice of God is what you must pray for, the voice of God is what you must seek after, it is the lovely voice of God that can help you. David says in psalms " Once you have spoken twice i have heard" it was the voice of God that brought Elijah out of the cave when he was running from Jezebel, It was the voice of God that led Abraham into Prosperity, it was the voice of God that spoke to Moses that delivered the children of Israelites out of the hands of Pharaoh.
Can you trust Gods Voice n Word? Absolutely YEs!
Can you trust Social Media Voice? Absolutely Not!
Social media agender is too block out the voice of God in your life, I'm at a better place emotionally because i stopped allowing social media to speak to me but allow Gods voice and word to speak into my life. Becareful who you listen to, it can destroy your life or it can build it up.
