The Markewicz Redman Partnership

The Markewicz Redman Partnership Creating common visions of the future through thought-leadership, supported by innovative, yet practical, urban planning, design and management interventions.

Tony Markewicz and Toni Redman have been collaborating on urban planning and urban design projects for over a decade and collectively have some 55 years of post-qualification experience. Their practice focuses on adding value to the endeavours of both public and private sector clients through a clear understanding that their real clients are always the people and communities that use or inhabit th

e urban environments that they assist in visualising and developing. Successful 'urban place making' is an incremental activity founded on the alignment of community inhabitants and stakeholders around common visions of their futures that are created through thought-leadership and supported by innovative, yet practical, urban planning, design and management interventions. Passionate about this belief, the nature of the partnership's urban planning and design interventions and proposals emphasise the identification and establishment of sustainable and supportive 'preconditions' for 'place-making' that enables individuals and communities to express their imagination, creativity and ingenuity and achieve their aspirations. Skilled in planning and design across many scales of the urban environment they continually strive to ensure that every project they work on gives credence to the fragile relationship between man and nature and to tension generated in balancing local needs and global imperatives. The key values of The Markewicz Redman Partnership are:
- Inclusivity and Collaboration
- Respect and Understanding
- Practicality and Efficiency
- Simplicity and Sustainability

As the festive season unfolds, we reflect on the year past and look ahead to the opportunities of 2025.

The baobab tree, often called the “Tree of Life,” stands as a powerful symbol of resilience, adaptability, and growth—qualities that inspire the work we do in planning and urban design.

This Christmas, we thank you for being part of our journey and wish you a season filled with joy, connection, and renewal. May 2025 bring opportunities for growth and strength, much like the mighty baobab.
